PUBLIC NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE: 2024-2025 TRAVERSE CITY AREA PUBLIC SCHOOLS PUBLIC HEARINGS AND MATERIAL REVIEW REGARDING SEX EDUCATION CURRICULUM Please take notice that a Sex Education Curriculum Material Review and two Public Hearings for Traverse City Area Public Schools are planned. According to Michigan Law, all school districts must conduct two public hearings on any additions or revisions of sex education curriculum or materials and have Board of Education approval before implementation. The additions and revisions of the sex education curriculum included in this material review and public hearings were reviewed and approved by the Sex Education Advisory Board (SEAB) during the 2023-2024 school year. Materials can be viewed on the TCAPS website at tcaps.net or in-person by appointment by contacting the Board Recording Secretary in the Superintendent's Office at (231) 933-1725. The Board of Education will conduct the first public hearing on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the TCAPS Administration at Glenn Loomis, 1009 S. Oak Street, Traverse City, MI 49684.
